Unlimited Channels
Unlike a hardware mixing desk (digital or analog) which restricts the number of different types of channels supported Spectra Mix has unlimited channels, of different types.

Unlimited channels, of different types included:
- INPUT Channels, which process external audio input.
- FX Channels which include an FX send, FX processing and FX return path.
- BUS Channels which allow for bussing and processing.
- MONITOR Channels for building alternate monitor mixes.
- MATRIX Channels for building alternate main mixes.
In addition there is a single:
- MASTER Channel.
- TALBACK Channel
- Local monitor channel (called SOLO), connected to the SOLO Bus.
All channels have:
- Plugin processing.
- Stereo signal path.
- Dedicated output.
Flexible Groups
SpectraMix fully support groups, each group supports:
- Level control of members (equivalent to a DCA group on a digital live desk, VCA group on an analog live desk).
- Mute control of members (equivalent to a mute group on a live audio desk).
- Solo control of members.
You can have unlimited groups with unlimited members. Groups can be controlled using channel strips (level, solo, mute controls) or function buttons (mute / solo control only).
Hands on Control
Spectra Mix supports hands on control using two MCU MIDI controllers with full custom button mapping.

- VU Meters displaying channel levels.

One of the main advantages of SpectraMix is the ability to run plugins. Plugins provide audio processing on each channel.

Specifications
Mac Hardware & Software
Spectra Mix supports any modern Mac (Apple Silicon or Intel) with at least 4 cores and 8Gb RAM.
Apple Silicon M1 or above recommended for live stream use. Apple Silicon M3 recommended for low latency FOH use. Mac Mini, Mac Studio or iMac recommended for any production use.
Spectra Mix requires MacOs 13 or above.
Audio Interface & Networking
Spectra Mix supports any Core Audio compliant audio interface. A professional device is recommended for production use.
Spectra Mix has been tested with Dante Virtual Sound card for live stream use.
Spectra Mix recommends MOTU 624 / MOTU B16 / MOTU Monitor 8 with AVB for FOH. Spectra Mix support remote preamp control for MOTU AVB devices.
Overall latency is dependant on the audio device and networking configuration.
Controllers
Spectra Mix support up to two MIDI control surfaces using the MCU protocol. One master and one extender.
Spectra Mix has been tested on the Icon Platform M+ and Platform X+, the Icon QCon Pro G2 & QCon Pro G2 EX, the Behring X-Touch & X-Touch Extender.
Controller buttons are fully mappable in software to take account of different configurations.
